tegan and sara are identical twins, but they do have very distinctive features. everyone’s go-to distinction is the fact that tegan has a labret (middle lower lip stud) piercing. but be careful! in some pictures you’ll notice sara has a raised birthmark (or something) in the same spot. you can also tell them apart by their tattoos. easy ones to find on sara are: the black ring on her inside of her right wrist, the six lines on her right hand, and the waves on her right bicep. tegan has a lot more visible tattoos all over her forearm, such as the one of the tree. their hair style can also easily distinguish them, during the con era, they both had very similar hairstyles, but more recently, they’re hair cuts are very different. sara usually rocks shorter hair, and tegan’s is a bit longer and more volumized. the sense of style can also help in telling them apart. sara, lately, usually wears more dressy-casual clothing, while tegan usually sports t-shits and jeans. now if you’re a hardcore fan that can’t live without seeing their cute faces everyday, you’d notice they do have distinctive facial bone structures. sara appears has a narrower jaw than tegan, who’s face appears wider than sara’s. the point is, practice makes perfect, the time you dedicate to them (and trust me, you will, there’s not such thing as someone who kinda likes tegan and sara, they will take over your life, in the best way possible) you’ll be telling them apart easier than your own twins. thanks for following!
